Hadïh So'endzin! Hello, how are you? Welcome!
My name is Michelle Buchholz and I work in a way that speaks to my own Indigenous ways of knowing and being. My work is guided by my lived experience as an Indigenous woman and my experience in academic, government, and grassroots working environments.
As a visual practitioner, I work with clients on a wide variety of projects that are related to graphic recording, graphic facilitation, illustration, info-graphics, and visual policy analysis. I also provide consulting services as a policy analyst, evaluator, qualitative researcher, facilitator, and Indigenous engagement specialist.

Visual Policy Analysis is a methodology that Michelle developed, which incorporates visual practices within public policy analysis processes.
My practice focuses on
Abundance and Authenticity
-
When you reach out to me I will ask you to give me some details about:
1) your project or vision;
2) your timelines and budget.
I invite you into relational conversations about our work and our values and then I aim to locate an arrangement that works for both of us! -
In my practice, I work towards decolonizing business within the field of graphic recording and to challenge common practices in business, which place Indigenous people at a disadvantage.
-
My rates reflect my experience and my knowledge and I hope to be welcomed into a space where it is valued and understood that Indigenous peoples often relive colonial trauma within spaces where we work.
