Visual Policy Analysis

I completed a Master of Public Policy at SFU and utilized graphic recording as a methodology to successfully defend my capstone project. I re-drew my capstone research so that it may serve as a tool to be used by both Indigenous and non-Indigenous groups to inspire research and analysis of their own policies to address anti-Indigenous racism.

I call this process visual policy analysis. I offer this service as a methodology to help Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations, governments and groups visualize their policies while engaging Indigenous people.

I am releasing a document as a gift of reciprocity to the people, communities and organizations that have supported me in my learning journey that is still ongoing.

This document was developed in the spirit of building on the dialogue and the work that exists around addressing anti-Indigenous racism in Canada. I merged my background in public policy analysis, qualitative research and graphic recording to define a methodology called Visual Policy Analysis. I hope that this methodology will create more possibilities to make public and organizational policy more Indigenous.
